Snow

SNOW

Chilling soft, in snow enchanted
Lay the world so still and white
Sunbow rays in silence granted
Early mornings veil of light

 Peaceful stood the evergreens
Wrapped in heavy winter coats
Snowcapped hills, the world serene
Downy sheets on winding roads

   Dripping, crystal sculptures frozen
Twinkling silver, diamond ice
Trees in twilight’s dawn a-dozing
Dreams of daylight paradise

   Down below in shadows shrouded
Valley towns lay wrapped in white
Towering mountains crowned and clouded
Bracing, arctic, glacial might

Endlessness, spread wings of wonder
Soaring soundlessly and free
That Which Watches wanders under
Snowfields of Infinity
